Tax Advisor – Alternative Investments

About the role

Join an international alternative investment manager in Luxembourg as a Tax Advisor. You will support a portfolio of investment structures, focusing on debt investments such as commercial real estate lending and asset‑based financing.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee Luxembourg regulated and unregulated entities, primarily debt investment structures.
• Support additional asset classes like infrastructure, renewables, and real estate.
• Coordinate foreign withholding tax compliance across platforms.
• Liaise with local and foreign tax authorities on compliance matters.
• Monitor transfer pricing obligations and documentation.
• Assist the Head of Tax with structuring, restructuring, and day‑to‑day tax issues.
• Prepare and review Luxembourg corporate income tax and VAT returns prepared by external providers.
• Maintain accurate tax documentation and ensure timely filing.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, and operational teams on tax aspects of transactions.

Required profile

• University degree in Tax, Finance, Law or related field.
• 2–4 years of tax experience in Luxembourg, preferably in alternative investments, financial services, Big Four or similar.
• Fluent English; French and/or German are strong assets.
• Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Luxembourg corporate tax law and compliance obligations.
• Understanding of VAT and Pillar 2 concepts.
• Familiarity with Country‑by‑Country Reporting (CbCR) and tax provisions under local GAAP.
• Experience with liquidity planning, FX considerations and transaction closings.
