System Architect – Microsoft Exchange (m/f/d)

About the role

We are seeking a System Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft Exchange to support an EU Institution. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining on‑premise Exchange environments across multiple versions while ensuring high availability and security.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain Microsoft Exchange on‑premise architecture (2012, 2013, 2019).
• Provide SME‑level guidance for Exchange and Terminal Server environments.
• Lead Exchange upgrade, migration and modernization projects.
• Automate routine administrative tasks using PowerShell scripting.
• Monitor systems, apply patches and enforce security standards.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure incidents to maintain performance and availability.
• Support file migration from Windows Server to OpenText solutions and participate in on‑call/shift‑based operational support.

Required profile

• Experienced Microsoft‑oriented infrastructure engineer.
• Proven SME experience with Exchange Server 2012/2013/2019 and Terminal Server.
• Strong background in PowerShell automation and patch management.
• Willingness to work early/late shifts and on‑call rotations.
