Sustainability Construction Engineer Associate

About the role

PwC Luxembourg's Advisory practice has a Sustainability team where specialists in sustainable construction, environmental performance and ESG work together to support real estate and infrastructure clients. As a Sustainability Construction Engineer Associate or Senior Associate, you will help clients design, assess and improve the environmental performance of buildings, working with engineers, sustainability consultants and certification experts.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical studies that inform sustainable design decisions for new developments and major renovations
• Perform daylight factor assessments, dynamic thermal simulations and building performance analyses to support environmental certifications
• Contribute to life-cycle assessments (LCA) and life-cycle cost analyses (LCC)
• Support greenhouse gas emissions calculations and certification initiatives, including LCBI-aligned projects
• Analyse environmental and sustainability data and contribute to ESG reporting projects
• Support regulatory and compliance engagements, including EU Taxonomy alignment and sustainable building requirements
• Senior Associates take ownership of project workstreams, coordinate stakeholders and contribute directly to client discussions

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Environment or Energy
• Experience through internships or professional roles in sustainability, construction, energy or environmental consulting
• Working knowledge of LCA, LCC and building performance assessment tools (proficient/independent use)
• Working knowledge of environmental certification frameworks such as BREEAM, WELL or comparable standards (Senior Associate: proficient/independent use)
• English and French at C1 level

Additional skills

• Experience supporting BREEAM, WELL or LCBI certification processes
• Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks and sustainability disclosure requirements
