Space Engineer – NATO Support & Procurement Agency

About the role

The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) seeks a Space Engineer to support the development of space‑domain capabilities for NATO operations. The role involves working on complex systems across multiple functional areas such as ISR, SATCOM, SSA and more.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and integrate space‑domain capabilities in functional areas including ISR, SATCOM, SSA, METOC, PNT, SEW and Space Security.
• Produce and manage data products and services, ensuring interoperability and standardisation.
• Participate in NATO or multinational C4ISR projects and apply NATO Space Policy requirements.
• Apply systems engineering frameworks and tools to complex space systems.
• Collaborate with multi‑national teams and support NATO operational needs in the space domain.

Required profile

• University degree in aeronautical or space systems engineering or a closely related field.
• 3‑5 years of engineering experience in at least two of the listed space functional areas.
• Knowledge of NATO Space Policy and operational needs.
• Fluency in English; working knowledge of French is desirable.

Required skills

• Systems engineering of complex space systems.
• Experience with C4ISR project environments.
• Development of space‑domain data products and services.
• Interoperability and standardisation of space data.
