Shift Team Leader

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Shift Team Leader to coach and supervise our production operators on a 3x8 shift schedule. You will ensure safe work practices, drive continuous improvement, and support the plant in meeting quality, yield and volume targets.

Key responsibilities

• Coach and supervise production operators, fostering versatility to meet customer demands.
• Monitor safe work behaviors and report unsafe conditions to plant leadership.
• Provide leadership that reinforces ownership, responsibility, and the Webasto Values.
• Deploy Lean tools and thinking to improve processes.
• Assist the team in achieving quality, yield, and volume objectives in collaboration with Learning & Development.
• Lead improvement actions aimed at reducing customer claims.
• Detect deviations, anticipate issues, perform root‑cause analysis, implement corrective actions and track progress.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or mechanical field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work shift hours (3x8).
• Strong analytical abilities and effective people‑leadership skills.
• Fluent in English and French; German is a strong asset.
• Commitment to uphold Webasto Values.
