Senior Vice President – Depositary Client Management

About the role

BNY is looking for a Senior Vice President to lead its Depositary Client Management team in Luxembourg. The role oversees the full client lifecycle, from onboarding and governance to implementation, service oversight and ongoing relationship management, ensuring a high‑quality, controlled client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate client acceptance governance activities.
• Manage Depositary Initial Assessments, including ownership verification.
• Provide operational approval in governance forums such as the Business Acceptance Committee and Deal Council.
• Coordinate FTE assessments, pricing requests, and support onboarding and implementation.
• Implement Service Level Documents and review related templates for ManCo/AIFM delegates.
• Collect and review legal documentation and fund information.
• Set up bank and system access with relevant stakeholders.
• Support fund events (launches, liquidations, migrations, mergers) and monitor counter‑party appointments.
• Prepare board reporting, attend board meetings, and maintain client relationships through VOC processes and annual touch‑point meetings.
• Assist external due diligence, RFPs, and beauty parades, oversee billing, and maintain prospectus library.
• Contribute to monthly business council governance and oversight.

Required profile

• Significant experience in client management, onboarding, asset servicing, funds, depositary or custody.
• Strong understanding of onboarding governance, documentation and implementation processes.
• Proven ability to work with governance forums, approvals and stakeholder coordination.
• Experience in client‑facing interactions, service review, reporting and issue management.
• Strong analytical, communication and organizational abilities.
• Deep knowledge of the Luxembourg funds environment and related servicing practices.
