Senior VAT Adviser

About the role

As a Senior VAT Adviser you will join a dedicated VAT team in Luxembourg, working on a wide range of advisory and compliance projects for a diversified client base. You will benefit from a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing, continuous learning and professional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide VAT advice on Luxembourg and EU matters, drafting memoranda, technical notes and written opinions.
• Participate in VAT due‑diligence processes for both buy‑side and sell‑side transactions.
• Assist clients during VAT audits and controls conducted by Luxembourg tax authorities.
• Analyse VAT risks and develop pragmatic, well‑justified solutions.
• Prepare and review complex Luxembourg VAT returns and related filings, ensuring technical robustness.
• Support clients in improving their VAT reporting processes and monitor legislative developments.
• Supervise junior team members, review their work and contribute to their technical development.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in VAT compliance and advisory, preferably within a tax advisory or audit firm.
• Master’s degree in Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting or Tax Law.
• Fluent English; French and/or German are assets.
