Senior SPV Accountant – Global Investment Firm

About the role

Our client, a global investment firm with a boutique team in Luxembourg, is seeking a Senior SPV Accountant to lead the accounting, reporting and compliance for a portfolio of Luxembourg entities. The role works closely with accounting and operations teams in the US and London, offering cross‑border exposure in a collaborative, high‑calibre environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve accounting outputs from service providers, ensuring accuracy and LuxGAAP compliance.
• Prepare and review financial statements, board packs, and supporting documentation for audits and management reporting.
• Act as the main accounting expert for complex investment structures.
• Manage statutory filings, tax and VAT compliance, and cash flow oversight.
• Coordinate with investment, legal, tax, and operations teams across jurisdictions.
• Strengthen internal controls, optimise reporting processes, and drive operational improvements.
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to ad‑hoc financial projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of accounting experience in Luxembourg, ideally within asset management, audit, or a service provider.
• Strong LuxGAAP knowledge and experience with complex entity structures.
• Autonomous, proactive, and detail‑oriented with strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Well‑organised, results‑driven, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
• Fluent in English; French or German is a plus.
• Professional qualification (OEC, ACCA, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
• Valid Luxembourg work permit required.
