Senior Manager – Fund Controller (Real Estate) – Contract

About the role

We are looking for a senior‑level Fund Controller to lead the finance function for a portfolio of real‑estate investment funds on a contract basis. The role combines deep fund‑accounting expertise with leadership, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end fund accounting and financial reporting for multiple real‑estate funds.
• Review and validate NAV calculations, financial statements, capital‑account and investor reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and fund governing documents.
• Manage relationships with external administrators, auditors, tax advisors, depositaries and other service providers.
• Coordinate audit processes and support year‑end and quarterly reporting.
• Monitor cash flows, capital calls, distributions and investment transactions.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of fund‑accounting professionals.
• Drive process optimisation, internal controls and operational efficiencies, including digital transformation and automation initiatives.
• Partner with investment, legal, compliance and operations teams on strategic projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA) is a plus.
• 8+ years of fund accounting or fund finance experience in real‑estate investment.
• Background in a Big Four audit or advisory practice and/or in‑house real‑estate fund manager.
• Proven people‑management experience.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); additional European languages are an asset.
