Senior IT Assistant – Systems Engineer

About the role

The European Public Prosecutor’s Office is looking for a Senior IT Assistant – Systems Engineer to join its Digital Ecosystems Support Sector. You will be responsible for keeping the agency’s IT infrastructure reliable, secure and ready for future growth.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, monitor and maintain Linux and Windows servers, containers and orchestration platforms.
• Implement and enforce security measures and policies across all EPPO systems.
• Operate IT services in line with agreed service levels, ITSM best practices and internal procedures.
• Draft technical documentation, create and test standard operating procedures.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd‑level support, log incidents, troubleshoot and coordinate escalations.
• Participate in on‑call standby shifts outside regular working hours as scheduled.

Required profile

• Proven experience in systems operations and lifecycle planning for enterprise environments.
• Ability to work independently while reporting to the Head of DESS.
• Strong analytical skills for incident resolution and service improvement.
