Senior Financial Controller – Fixed-Term (24 months)

About the role

The Senior Financial Controller will lead the core finance engine of LNDS, a Luxembourg government‑backed data service. This 24‑month fixed‑term role focuses on structuring financial planning, coordinating EU project finances, and scaling finance processes as the organisation grows.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and drive annual budgets and multi‑year financial plans, consolidating inputs from all teams and projects.
• Coordinate financial aspects of EU projects, ensuring consistent reporting across consortia and preparing stakeholder reports.
• Prepare internal, EU, and external financial reports; conduct cost tracking, budget‑vs‑actual analysis and scenario modelling.
• Monitor cash flow, treasury activities and financial execution, identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
• Design and implement scalable finance processes, improve reporting practices, and contribute to finance tooling and data models.

Required profile

• Senior finance professional with proven experience in budgeting, financial planning and EU project finance.
• Strong analytical mindset, capable of delivering reliable financial visibility and data‑driven insights.
• Excellent coordination skills to work closely with the Finance Manager and Head of Operations.
• Ability to structure and optimise finance processes in a growing, complex environment.
