Senior Electronics Engineer – Spacecraft Avionics

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to join Clearspace’s Electrical Systems Team in Luxembourg. The role will support the rapid delivery of spacecraft, focusing on avionics and electronics for robotics payloads, and offers the chance to work in a multidisciplinary, fast‑growing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support all phases of the electrical subsystem lifecycle, from concept to testing and validation.
• Define power and data interfaces, sensor architectures, and electrical interface specifications.
• Perform requirements engineering and generate equipment specifications.
• Manage supplier selection and subcontractor relationships for key hardware.
• Develop and test in‑house electronics boards and harnesses.
• Define and procure EGSE, and conduct commissioning, validation, and functional testing.
• Provide technical point of contact for internal teams, customers, and subcontractors.
• Advise on grounding, EMC, power, and charging issues and help define verification and test plans.

Required profile

• BSc/MSc degree in engineering or a related field with strong mathematics and science content.
• At least 5 years of avionics engineering experience in the space industry.
• Proven experience in analogue and digital electronics design for robotics and motor control.
• Hands‑on experience specifying and testing electrical equipment.
• Knowledge of communication buses such as CAN, SpaceWire and Ethernet.
