Senior Chemical Risk Assessor (PhD)

About the role

The Laboratoire national de santé (LNS) is seeking a Senior Chemical Risk Assessor with a PhD to join its Medical Expertise and Data Intelligence (MEDI) service within the Health Protection Department. The position is full‑time (40 h/week) on a fixed‑term contract of two years, starting as soon as possible. The role will contribute to the European Partnership for the Assessment of Risks from Chemicals (PARC) program.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct advanced chemical risk assessments for environmental and occupational health contexts.
• Provide expert toxicological and epidemiological advice to public health stakeholders.
• Participate in the design, execution, and interpretation of public health surveys related to chemical exposure.
• Collaborate with national and international research partners, including the University of Luxembourg.
• Contribute to scientific reports and publications for the PARC program.

Required profile

• PhD in toxicology, chemistry, environmental health, or a closely related field.
• Significant experience in chemical risk assessment and toxicological evaluation.
• Strong knowledge of European chemical safety regulations and risk assessment frameworks.
• Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and communicate scientific findings to diverse audiences.
