Risk, Health & Safety Manager

About the role

Kronospan is looking for a Risk, Health & Safety Manager to lead the implementation and maintenance of health, safety and fire protection standards across its Luxembourg facility. The role ensures full compliance with legislative requirements, codes of practice and industry guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain ISO 45001 standards and safety management systems.
• Provide technical guidance on plant design, safe procedures, PPE specification and accident prevention programmes.
• Identify unsafe conditions, remediate them and engage external specialists when needed.
• Coordinate and monitor health and safety policies, ensuring compliance and reporting improvements to senior management.
• Maintain ISO 45001 certification and conduct thorough incident investigations.
• Stay current with local fire legislation, ensure fire‑fighting equipment is operational, and manage fire alarm systems.
• Organise external VdS fire audits, drive corrective actions and implement VdS standards.
• Prepare annual risk assessments, fire investigation reports and monthly performance reports for Group Risk Management.
• Oversee inspections of fire protection facilities and liaise with third‑party contractors during shutdowns.

Required profile

• Proven experience in health & safety management within an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and local fire legislation.
• Ability to lead incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Experience coordinating audits (e.g., VdS) and managing fire protection systems.
