Procurement Officer – Public Research Institute (Luxembourg)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Procurement Officer to join a leading public research institute in Luxembourg. The role focuses on managing the full purchasing cycle for advanced materials, IT systems, and environmental science projects, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requests and issue purchase orders while adhering to procurement policies.
• Identify, contact, and evaluate suppliers, requesting and comparing quotations.
• Negotiate price, lead time, and contract terms to secure optimal offers.
• Monitor order progress, coordinate with suppliers, and manage delivery adjustments.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Provide guidance to employees on procurement processes, policies, and best practices.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of end‑to‑end purchasing processes.
• Fluent French (C1) and English (B2) communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and prioritization abilities.
• Customer‑oriented mindset with a service‑focused approach.
• Ability to work autonomously and handle confidential information discreetly.
