Process Engineer – Blast Furnace Specialist

About the role

Based in Luxembourg, you will join the blast furnace process department and provide expert support to internal and external customers. Your work will span from initial consultancy and studies to detailed audits, operation support, and the commissioning of new blast furnace projects.

Key responsibilities

• Model and dimension blast furnace processes and equipment.
• Develop new technologies, automation solutions, and energy‑saving processes.
• Support project teams on technological and process aspects throughout the sales and project phases.
• Assist customers in optimizing operation parameters and implementing key equipment.
• Plan and execute cold and hot commissioning activities, including special operations such as blow‑in, blow‑down, and recoveries.
• Participate in the development of alternative direct reduction and green technologies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in Metallurgy or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in blast furnace operation and commissioning.
• Fluent English with strong communication skills for customer and project interaction.
• High initiative, responsibility, and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
