Principal Project Officer

About the role

The Principal Project Officer will lead high‑impact ICT projects within the NATO Support and Procurement Agency, focusing on cloud, AI and digital engineering solutions for defence logistics. This senior position requires strategic oversight of system architecture, integration and security while ensuring cost‑effective delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the architectural vision for cloud and AI platforms supporting defence logistics.
• Manage end‑to‑end project lifecycles, from requirements gathering to deployment and post‑implementation review.
• Coordinate systems integration, ensuring seamless interaction between ERP and loosely coupled solutions.
• Assess cyber‑security risks and implement mitigation strategies across ICT assets.
• Analyse cost‑benefit and total cost of ownership to optimise resource allocation.
• Stay abreast of emerging ICT technologies and recommend innovative solutions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (or Bachelor’s with 8 years experience) and at least 5 years of post‑graduate experience in ICT project management.
• Proven experience in the full lifecycle of enterprise ICT, preferably within defence logistics.
• Strong understanding of architectural approaches, systems integration and cyber‑security principles.
• Excellent knowledge of state‑of‑the‑art ICT and emerging technologies.
