Network & Security Engineer

About the role

Proximus Luxembourg is seeking a Network & Security Engineer to support its datacenter infrastructure. The role focuses on incident resolution, request handling, and the ongoing maintenance of networking and security devices.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch and upgrade switches, routers, firewalls, NAC, load balancers, WAFs, proxies, DNS and VPN solutions.
• Monitor performance, capacity and security of the datacenter network and resolve incidents and problems.
• Provide Level II/III support, handling tickets escalated from Level I and participating in a 24/7 on‑call rotation.
• Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers to coordinate operations, repairs and product compatibility checks.
• Maintain documentation and instruct users to prevent recurring issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in datacenter network and security operations.
• Familiarity with Cisco ACI and Nexus environments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
