About the role

The Laboratoire national de santé (LNS) is seeking a Medical Geneticist physician (M/F) for a permanent, full‑time position (40 h/week) within its National Centre of Genetics. The role involves delivering comprehensive clinical genetics services in a leading public laboratory serving Luxembourg.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical genetics services for rare diseases in children and adults, cancer susceptibility syndromes, and prenatal counselling.
• Participate in the medical validation of genetic analyses.
• Engage in multidisciplinary meetings related to genetic patient management.
• Supervise genetic counsellors and doctors undergoing specialization.
• Monitor scientific literature and ensure compliance with regulations and patient‑management recommendations.
• Contribute to national public‑health genetics working groups, such as the National Program for Rare Diseases and National Cancer initiatives.

Required profile

• Medical Geneticist physician (M/F) willing to work on a permanent, full‑time basis (40 h/week).

Required skills

• Next‑generation sequencing (Illumina NovaSeq 6000) operation.
• Clinical bioinformatics expertise.
• Molecular genetic testing for constitutional genetics.
