Mechanical Designer - Molds (Product development)

About the role

After an initial training period at our European Headquarters in Dudelange, you will join the Development‑Engineering‑Team responsible for beverage packaging tooling. You will provide engineering support throughout the product development process, delivering high‑quality, high‑performance, reliable and cost‑effective mold designs on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Iterate design concepts based on the scope of work and create design selection matrices.
• Execute complete designs applying company standards and perform system‑level design with limited guidance.
• Produce design documentation and validation plans.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams worldwide, including engineering, manufacturing, service, test and validation.
• Develop and manage complex project plans, set milestones, generate timelines and communicate project status effectively.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Several years of experience in a similar mechanical design environment (advantageous).
• Strong knowledge of CAD applications.
• Proven ability to analyse and solve complex technical problems with innovative solutions.
• Knowledge of calculating design parameters and good project‑time management skills.
• Experience with GD&T and tolerance stack‑up analysis (advantageous).
• Background in virtual simulation (advantageous).
• Excellent communication skills in English.
