Life Sciences Specialist – Luxembourg

About the role

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is looking for a Life Sciences Specialist to join its Innovation and Competitiveness Department in Luxembourg. You will work within multi‑disciplinary teams to evaluate and support innovative life‑science projects across the EU.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the strategic consistency, technical feasibility, commercial viability and economic sustainability of life‑science projects proposed for EIB investment.
• Review technical documentation, prepare standardized reports and contribute to internal processing of operations.
• Identify, coordinate and deliver technical assistance assignments to build capacity and maximise project impact.
• Support monitoring of approved projects and contribute to ongoing project implementation.

Required profile

• Relevant academic background in life sciences, health, economics or a related field.
• Experience working on life‑science or health‑related projects, preferably in an international or multilateral setting.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work within multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Fluency in English; additional EU languages are a plus.
