Junior Risk Officer – Banking & Risk Management

About the role

Join the Risk Management department of Banque de Patrimoine Privées (BPP) in Luxembourg as a Junior Risk Officer. You will support the team in monitoring and reporting on the bank's liquidity, credit, market, counter‑party and operational risks, contributing to a robust risk framework.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in executing the Risk Monitoring Plan and preparing periodic risk reports.
• Maintain databases related to liquidity, counter‑party, credit, market and operational risks.
• Support senior risk officers in ICAAP/ILAAP preparation, recovery planning and Pillar III reporting.
• Help produce reports for the Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee and the Board of Directors.
• Maintain and improve risk reporting tools, identifying and addressing shortcomings.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Banking, Mathematics or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role within the financial sector.
• Good knowledge of banking products, services and Luxembourg’s regulatory environment.
• Fluent in English and French; Spanish is an asset.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, including macro programming.
• SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Familiarity with SAS (considered a plus).
