Junior Risk Associate

About the role

This entry-level position sits within the Investment Risk function of a global sovereign investment platform. It is designed for recent graduates or early‑career professionals who want to develop expertise in portfolio risk monitoring and investment compliance within the Luxembourg fund industry.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor portfolio risks across market, credit, counter‑party, liquidity and sustainability dimensions.
• Check investment compliance against legal restrictions and strategy limits.
• Produce and deliver timely risk and compliance reports.
• Escalate and report breaches to fund managers and the CSSF as required.
• Assess and create fund risk profiles.
• Respond to client requests and perform ad‑hoc eligibility analyses for investment products.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
• First experience in finance is a plus, but the role is open to entry‑level candidates.
• Familiarity with Luxembourg's UCITS fund industry and its risk oversight framework.
• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills; additional languages are advantageous.
