Junior KYC Officer – Banking Compliance

About the role

We are seeking a Junior KYC Officer to join the compliance team of a leading bank in Luxembourg. You will support the onboarding and periodic review of client and relationship files while ensuring adherence to AML/CTF and sanctions regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the KYC unit’s daily activities, including client onboarding, reviews, and blacklist/sanctions screening.
• Prepare reports, statistics and documentation for the Head of Luxembourg Compliance, European Chief Compliance Officer, supervisory authorities and the Group’s Head Office.
• Provide training and support to business departments, staying up‑to‑date with regulatory developments affecting KYC, AML/CTF and sanctions.
• Assist senior compliance officers in supervising bank activities and implementing European KYC standards.
• Collect, verify and analyse data for internal and external reporting requirements, including Board, Audit & Compliance Committee and auditors.
• Support the Client and Relationship Acceptance Committee by preparing documentation and meeting minutes.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Finance or Law.
• Fluent English.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar compliance or audit role within an international bank.
• Strong knowledge of AML/CTF regulations in Europe and Luxembourg.
• Ability to analyse transaction patterns and customer AML profiles.
• Excellent report‑writing skills and a high level of discretion and integrity.
