Internal Auditor – Banking & Finance

About the role

Join the Internal Audit team of a leading Luxembourg‑based bank and support the Chief Internal Auditor in safeguarding the institution’s risk management and control environment. You will work on a variety of audit missions across the bank’s depositary, custody, and fund administration services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in documenting risk assessments for the Audit Universe and updating the multi‑year audit plan.
• Develop and execute audit programs in line with internal audit standards.
• Perform field work, prepare working papers, and draft audit findings and recommendations.
• Communicate results to auditees and monitor the follow‑up of open recommendations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of internal audit processes and support external quality assurance reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in business administration or finance.
• Minimum five years of experience in internal audit, compliance or risk management within the banking sector in Luxembourg.
• Strong knowledge of Luxembourg’s regulatory environment and audit techniques.
• Autonomous, team‑oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
