Internal Audit Director (Luxembourg)

About the role

BTG Pactual Europe is establishing a dedicated Internal Audit function in Luxembourg and seeks an experienced Internal Audit Director to lead this effort. Reporting to senior management, you will shape the audit methodology, ensure compliance with CSSF regulations, and strengthen the bank’s control environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the Internal Audit framework, including processes, methodologies, and governance structures.
• Plan, execute, and report on internal audits covering governance, risk management, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Assess the effectiveness of existing controls and provide practical recommendations aligned with CSSF requirements and market best practices.
• Collaborate with local and global teams, participate in audit committees, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor emerging regulatory changes in Luxembourg and adapt audit plans accordingly.

Required profile

• Significant experience in internal audit within a Luxembourg‑regulated financial institution.
• Strong understanding of local banking regulations, CSSF expectations, and international audit standards.
• Proven ability to lead audit teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on risk‑based auditing and continuous improvement.
