Integration & Test Engineer for Autonomous UAVs

About the role

LUXUAV is looking for an Integration & Test Engineer to lead verification, validation, and integration of its autonomous UAV platforms. You will ensure hardware, firmware, software, and algorithmic subsystems operate reliably across lab, simulation, and field environments.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end system reliability by integrating and validating subsystems such as PX4/ArduPilot controllers, Jetson/RB5 computers, EO/IR sensors, IMU/GNSS, radios, power modules, HSM and payloads.
• Support prototype bring‑up for new PCBs and modular payloads, validate electrical/mechanical interfaces and communication buses (CAN, UART, I2C, SPI, Ethernet).
• Develop and maintain test plans at unit, subsystem and system levels; automate execution and reporting with Python and LabVIEW; integrate with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/Jenkins).
• Set up and operate HIL/SIL testbeds (Gazebo, PX4 SITL, MATLAB/Simulink) for scenario scripting, fault injection and hardware‑simulator integration.
• Plan and execute advanced flight trials, analyse telemetry, and drive issue resolution with development teams.
• Support certification activities, coordinate EMC/EMI and safety testing (DO‑178C, SORA, STANAG) and produce verification evidence packs.

Required profile

• Strong technical breadth across electronics, embedded software and mechanical systems.
• Systematic problem‑solving skills and ability to work in fast‑paced, mission‑critical cycles.
• Experience collaborating with cross‑disciplinary teams (electronics, firmware, RF, mechanical, algorithms).
