Industrial Architecture Engineer

About the role

The Industrial Architecture Engineer will provide cross‑functional expertise on industrial infrastructure, OT/IT networks, building management systems, machine connectivity and IoT solutions. The role supports the "New Factories" program by ensuring that all deployed solutions are consistent, secure and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Define IT/OT requirements for production systems such as MES, MCS, PLCs and IoT devices.
• Inventory and integrate industrial equipment into logical and physical network architectures.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, including wiring diagrams and network schematics.
• Incorporate industrial cybersecurity standards and aerospace/defence sector guidelines.
• Participate in supplier meetings, challenge technical proposals and validate solutions.
• Define and execute performance testing plans for network load and OT/IT resilience.
• Contribute to the creation of reference architectures, configuration templates and security standards.
• Provide technical support to deployment teams and ensure adherence to established standards.

Required profile

• Strong background in industrial automation, OT/IT integration and network design.
• Experience with building management systems and IoT deployments in an industrial context.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and relevant aerospace/defence standards.
• Proven ability to produce detailed technical documentation and schematics.
• Excellent analytical skills to interpret electrical and network diagrams.
