Key responsibilities
- Maintain proactive relationships with policymakers, regulators, central banks and financial intelligence units relevant to the company's products and services.
- Monitor regulatory developments affecting Tether and its affiliates in the country.
- Represent the company in consultations, workshops, industry roundtables and regulatory dialogues.
- Prepare briefing papers, comment letters and policy submissions aligned with the global regulatory strategy.
- Identify and realise opportunities to shape emerging frameworks in a risk-sensitive, innovation-oriented way.
- Provide risk and regulatory insights to legal, product, compliance, risk and commercial stakeholders.
- Support enterprise-level planning for new products or expansions, advising on regulatory constraints and enablers.
- Contribute to internal reporting and executive briefings on regional policy risks and regulatory trajectory.
Required profile
- Minimum of 8 years of governmental affairs, regulatory affairs or legal experience, ideally in financial services or crypto-assets in the EU, preferably Brussels-based.
- Fintech or digital assets exposure is important.
- Experience engaging with regulators or government bodies, with proven success in securing favourable policy positions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, able to explain complex regulatory topics to non-technical audiences, with public speaking experience.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across borders and time zones.
- Team player, hands-on, able to work collaboratively and independently.
- English speaking; Brussels preferred, other EU locations open.
