Head of Clinical Genetics Service

About the role

The Laboratoire National de Santé (LNS) is seeking an experienced Clinical Geneticist with strong leadership skills to head its Clinical Genetics Service within the National Center of Genetics. This full‑time, permanent position will lead a multidisciplinary team and shape the future of genomic medicine in Luxembourg.

Key responsibilities

• Lead operational and financial oversight of the Clinical Genetics Service, ensuring efficiency and alignment with institutional goals.
• Supervise and support a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, psychologists, and counselors.
• Instruct and supervise doctors in specialist training for genetics.
• Provide expert genetic consultations for rare diseases and hereditary cancers.
• Ensure compliance with the quality management system and maintain high standards of clinical service delivery.
• Review and medically validate genetic laboratory test results.
• Contribute to the implementation of new diagnostic methods and technologies.

Required profile

• Qualified Clinical Geneticist with substantial experience in clinical genetics.
• Demonstrated leadership and management abilities.
• Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams and training physicians.
• Strong knowledge of rare disease and hereditary cancer genetics.
