Fluent French Commercial Legal Counsel – Global Contracts

About the role

Join a high‑performing in‑house legal team in Luxembourg, supporting a market‑leading workforce solutions business. You will be the trusted partner for global commercial contracts, advising stakeholders and managing risk across fast‑moving, multi‑jurisdictional agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate and draft a wide range of commercial agreements covering permanent recruitment, contract staffing, employer‑of‑record, RPO and MSP services.
• Lead contract discussions with external clients, interpret complex clauses, assess commercial risk and produce clear documentation.
• Research labour and employment law across jurisdictions to ensure compliant operations.
• Support expansion into new territories by designing compliant engagement models.
• Apply internal approval authorities and risk frameworks to maintain governance.
• Protect the business in disputes, breaches or claims involving clients and contingent workers.
• Monitor regulatory changes and provide practical updates to senior legal leadership.
• Advise on data‑protection considerations affecting clients and contractors worldwide.
• Leverage technology and AI to improve legal workflow efficiency.
• Deliver training to new starters and stakeholders on legal processes.

Required profile

• Law degree and qualified solicitor status (UK or international equivalent).
• Fluent French language skills.
• Minimum 2 years of in‑house post‑qualification experience, preferably with cross‑border exposure.
• Strong drafting and negotiation abilities with a risk‑aware mindset.
• Excellent attention to detail and commercial judgment.
• Ability to work at pace, manage multiple stakeholders and meet tight deadlines.
