Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist

About the role

R3 Robotics is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to own the end‑to‑end financial planning, forecasting and analysis function. You will design and maintain the models that guide leadership, translate complex data into clear narratives, and act as the bridge between external accounting partners and internal decision‑makers across Luxembourg and Germany.

Key responsibilities

• Own the budgeting process, rolling forecasts and dynamic financial model.
• Track actuals versus budget, investigate variances and build scenario models for strategic decisions.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for the CEO and Board, including KPI dashboards and investor updates.
• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations: invoicing, payment runs, expense documentation and collections follow‑up.
• Coordinate monthly close and VAT compliance with external accounting partners; oversee transaction classification and payroll inputs in Odoo.
• Partner with department heads on headcount planning, margin analysis and commercial economics.
• Maintain audit‑ready documentation and proactively flag inconsistencies or data gaps.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, financial controlling or a related finance role, preferably in a high‑growth startup or industrial/deep‑tech environment.
• Strong financial modelling skills and comfort building models from scratch in Excel.
• Fluent in English; French or German is a strong plus.
• Experience working across multiple legal entities or jurisdictions is an advantage.
• Analytical, precise and able to communicate complex data clearly to non‑finance stakeholders.
• Ownership mindset, comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure where none exists.
