Finance Manager – Accounting & Sustainability Reporting

About the role

Amazon is seeking a proactive Finance Manager to join its Accounting team in Luxembourg. The role focuses on statutory financial reporting and emerging sustainability reporting requirements across Europe, leveraging automation and AI to drive efficiency and insight.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review statutory financial statements under local GAAP.
• Produce internal and external financial and sustainability reporting deliverables, including analytic commentary and supplemental analysis.
• Transform accounting data into actionable insights that support innovation.
• Identify, develop, and implement scalable process improvements using automation and AI‑powered tools.
• Act as subject‑matter expert on European sustainability disclosure projects, guiding accounting and reporting practices.
• Monitor regulatory developments in sustainability reporting and disseminate knowledge across Amazon accounting teams.
• Collaborate globally with Sustainability, Accounting, Finance, Legal, and Technology teams.
• Lead large‑scale, cross‑functional projects in a fast‑moving, high‑growth environment.
• Continuously enhance skills through exposure to advanced finance technologies and global best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field.
• Proven experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong understanding of current European and international sustainability regulations (e.g., CSRD, ISSB).
• Extensive experience in end‑to‑end financial reporting, statutory filings, internal controls, and audit requirements.
