Electronic Designer

About the role

Orbitare is looking for an experienced Electronic Designer to join its Spaceloop project, which delivers user‑friendly satellite‑based personal communications. You will be responsible for the full development cycle of digital and analogue electronic components, from concept to production‑ready boards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prototype, assemble and verify electronic components for multiple subsystems of the Spaceloop product line.
• Select components, create schematics and layout PCBs following IPC Class 3 standards.
• Perform testing, validation and documentation of boards, ensuring compliance with EMI/EMC requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑moving, on‑site environment.
• Maintain thorough design records and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in electronic design.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating completed projects.
• Ability to work independently, adapt to evolving requirements and communicate ideas openly.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Altium Designer.
• Experience with SoC‑based systems and high‑speed interfaces.
• Knowledge of design for stringent EMI/EMC compliance.
• Familiarity with radiation‑tolerant design (strong plus).
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment.
• Fluent English communication.
