Electrical Engineer – Satellite & Automation Systems

About the role

Our client, a high‑tech Luxembourg based company, is looking for an Electrical Engineer to develop and support mechanical and electrical satellite systems as well as testing equipment for the rubber industry. The role is permanent and based at the client’s headquarters in Mamer.

Key responsibilities

• Design electrical installations and controller solutions for satellite ground segment and testing equipment.
• Define, document, implement and test new features and technologies in existing or new products.
• Create electrical concepts, schematics and detailed drawings.
• Identify, assess and mitigate safety risks of electro‑mechanical machinery and develop safety concepts.
• Commission in‑house designed machinery and commercial components.
• Interact with internal and external customers and suppliers to promote, improve and troubleshoot solutions.
• Present technical features to customers, gather feedback and refine products.
• Manage component selection and obsolescence with suppliers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience with a solid understanding of electrical and electro‑mechanical installations and power electronics.
• Experience in designing electrical installations, including electro‑mechanical devices such as motors.
• Ability to perform safety analyses of electro‑mechanical machinery.
