Electrical Engineer – Ironmaking & Green Steel Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our EIC department. You will work in an agile, interdisciplinary team on worldwide projects for the iron‑making industry and emerging green‑steel technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Handle technical projects from the offer stage through to final commissioning.
• Design electric and hydraulic control systems for blast‑furnace equipment.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and discussions with customers.
• Coordinate equipment manufacturing with suppliers, conduct quality control and acceptance tests on supplier premises.
• Collaborate with engineering and other departments across the company.
• Provide on‑site support during equipment commissioning and train operating personnel.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience (single‑line diagrams, automation layouts, supplier specifications, instrumentation).
• Proven ability to create offers and execute projects up to on‑site commissioning.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
• Solution‑oriented, pragmatic approach with strong customer focus.
• Willingness to travel worldwide.
• Fluent in English and German; French is a plus.
