Drone Hub Operator – Belgium Deployment

About the role

Skyports is looking for Hub Operators to support drone flight operations in Belgium. You will work on a 6‑month deployment, ensuring launch sites, aircraft and ground processes run safely and efficiently for delivery, inspection and surveillance missions.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and secure drone landing and take‑off points (TOLPs).
• Carry out basic aircraft (drone) maintenance (Level 1) and battery management.
• Assist with launch, monitoring and recovery of flights.
• Maintain visual line of sight with the aircraft when required.
• Identify and report environmental or safety hazards.
• Keep accurate logbooks and maintenance records.
• Handle kit, refuel equipment and support ground procedures.
• Complete refresher training before each deployment.

Required profile

• Safety‑conscious with a calm, focused approach.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varied environments.
• Willing to travel and stay away from home for deployments.
• Practical, hands‑on with tools and equipment.
• Good communicator and reliable team player.
• Physically able to manage drone and battery handling tasks.

Required skills

• Basic aircraft (drone) maintenance (Level 1).
• Battery handling and management.
• Ability to maintain visual line of sight with the aircraft.
• Accurate logbook and maintenance record‑keeping.

What we offer

• £13 per hour rate.
• Paid travel when travel is part of a deployment.
• Up to £20 per day food/drink reimbursement (receipts required).
• Accommodation provided for the 6‑month period.
• Full training before the start of the deployment.
