About the role
The Director of Business Development leads PROMAN’s strategic growth across EU, UNICEF, AFD and other donor markets. This senior position oversees the entire business development lifecycle, from market intelligence to contract award, ensuring proposals are competitive, compliant and aligned with the organisation’s objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Define and execute growth strategies for long‑term, short‑term and framework contracts.
- Manage intelligence gathering, capture planning, partnership development and proposal oversight.
- Lead and motivate a team of project‑management and acquisition experts to deliver high‑quality bids.
- Ensure seamless transition from acquisition to delivery, covering staffing, contract management, financial accountability and quality assurance.
- Strengthen PROMAN’s market visibility and credibility through network engagement.
- Contribute to senior leadership discussions on organisational development, agility and global trends.
Required profile
- Proven track record of winning EU and other donor contracts.
- Experience in managing both framework contracts and strategic bids.
- Demonstrated ability to lead consortia, recruit experts and build pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of EU procurement and donor compliance frameworks.
- Background in organisational development, process improvement and IT‑enabled delivery systems.
