About the role
Kuehne + Nagel is expanding its Contract Logistics team in Luxembourg and seeks a proactive Business Development Manager. You will be responsible for generating new business, building relationships with local clients, and delivering standardized logistics solutions that add value.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities in the Luxembourg market.
- Actively prospect and approach local clients, expanding the commercial network.
- Lead customer meetings and manage the full commercial cycle from needs assessment to contract signing.
- Prepare and participate in events that support business development.
- Validate financial aspects of commercial offers and challenge proposals when necessary.
- Conduct market research to track trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
- Develop, maintain, and activate a multi‑year commercial plan for Luxembourg.
Required profile
- Strong hunter mindset with a proven record of generating and converting leads.
- Solid understanding of the Luxembourg commercial and logistics landscape.
- Experience managing the complete commercial process (prospecting, meetings, proposals, negotiations, contracts).
- Background in contract logistics or a closely related logistics/commercial environment.
- Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams (engineering, IT, operations, finance).
- High level of autonomy, ownership, and excellent communication and negotiation skills.
