Client Relationship Manager

About the role

The Client Relationship Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for high‑value clients of a Luxembourg‑based third‑party investment fund manager. The role blends client relationship management, operational coordination and project oversight across portfolio management, risk, compliance, legal and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with assigned clients, understanding their strategic and operational needs.
• Act as the main liaison between clients, delegates, third‑party providers and internal teams (portfolio management, risk, compliance, legal, operations).
• Ensure consistent, high‑quality communication, promptly addressing queries and resolving issues.
• Conduct regular service review meetings or calls with clients and relevant internal departments.
• Participate in client reporting and preparation of board meeting materials, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Support business development by identifying cross‑selling opportunities.
• Oversee fund lifecycle events such as launches, mergers, liquidations, migrations and share‑class changes.
• Assist in the preparation, review and implementation of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to meet contractual and regulatory obligations.
• Communicate project updates and operational developments to stakeholders, including senior management.
• Identify and escalate potential operational or compliance risks in collaboration with relevant teams.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 4–8 years of experience in a Management Company (ManCo) or AIFM.
• Strong understanding of Luxembourg fund structures (UCITS and AIFs) and the applicable regulatory framework (AIFMD, UCITS, CSSF Circular 18/698).
• Excellent organizational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Native‑level proficiency in English.
