Category Manager – Digital Procurement (12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Vodafone is looking for a Category Manager to lead digital procurement within its IT and telecom channels on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis. You will shape sourcing strategies, drive cost optimisation and support the delivery of high‑impact technology projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement material category strategies aligned with Vodafone’s global procurement roadmap.
• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing activities, including supplier selection, commercial negotiations and contract management.
• Partner with technology product owners, line‑of‑business and supply‑chain teams to deliver procurement solutions that meet strategic objectives.
• Drive cost optimisation, achieve savings targets and ensure total cost of ownership is minimised.
• Manage supplier relationships, contribute to the category supplier roadmap and foster innovation.
• Design and implement innovative commercial models to improve efficiency.
• Support global contract governance and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
• Secure supply, manage risks and align sourcing decisions with project plans.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of procurement experience in IT/Telco, preferably both global and local.
• Category expertise in IT Telco, BSS, Digital Engineering, software or related services.
• Strong stakeholder management, commercial and negotiation capabilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Master’s or MBA in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent.
• Fluent English; additional languages (German, Turkish, Hindi) are a plus.
