AV Designer (f/m/d)

About the role

Drees & Sommer is looking for an AV Designer to join its User Centric Spaces & Places (UCSP) team and help expand its global presence in the Benelux market. You will design, implement and support audiovisual systems for corporate environments, event spaces and entertainment venues.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop standard and complex audiovisual systems, including video, audio and control systems
• Work with clients, architects, engineers and contractors to ensure seamless system integration
• Select AV equipment such as projectors, displays, sound systems, video conferencing solutions and control systems
• Provide AV requirements (power, data, reinforced walls etc.) to IT and the main contractor
• Review third-party deliverables before deployment (IT patching, VLANs, Wi-Fi, NAC), carry out site surveys and write reports
• Take part in regular work-stream meetings

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Multimedia Design or equivalent
• Experience in AV design, integration or installation and in project management
• English and French are essential; German is a plus
• Willingness to travel
• Strong communication, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Required skills

• AV design software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Visio
• Knowledge of control systems and audio/video transport protocols
• Advantage: CTS or PRINCE2 certification, networking principles for AV over IP, and familiarity with integrating virtual and augmented reality into AV design
