AV Designer – Design and Integration of Audiovisual Systems

About the role

As an AV Designer at Dreso, you will create innovative audiovisual solutions for a variety of projects in real estate, industry, energy and infrastructure. You will work both independently and within interdisciplinary teams, using the latest technologies to deliver sustainable and economical outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and design standard and complex AV systems, including video, audio and control components.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers and contractors to ensure seamless system integration.
• Select appropriate AV equipment such as projectors, displays, sound systems, video‑conferencing and control platforms.
• Provide detailed AV requirements (power, data, reinforced walls, etc.) to IT and main contractors.
• Review third‑party deliverables (IT patching, VLANs, Wi‑Fi, NAC) and conduct site surveys with comprehensive reporting.
• Participate in regular work‑stream meetings and support project documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Multimedia Design or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in AV design, integration or installation, with project‑management exposure.
• Proficiency in English; French is a plus, German is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel and strong communication skills.
• Certifications such as CTS or PRINCE2 are beneficial.

Required skills

• AV design software: AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Visio.
• Control‑system knowledge and audio/video transport protocols.
• Networking principles for AV over IP.
• Familiarity with virtual and augmented reality integration into AV designs.
