AV Designer – Audio‑Visual Systems Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an AV Designer to develop and implement audiovisual solutions for a range of projects in real‑estate, industry, energy and infrastructure. The role combines technical design, client interaction and on‑site coordination to deliver sustainable, innovative systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design standard and complex AV systems, including video, audio and control architectures.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers and contractors to ensure seamless integration.
• Select appropriate AV equipment such as projectors, displays, sound systems, video‑conferencing and control platforms.
• Define AV infrastructure requirements (power, data, reinforced walls) for IT and main contractors.
• Review third‑party deliverables (IT patching, VLANs, Wi‑Fi, NAC) and conduct site surveys with detailed reports.
• Participate in regular work‑stream meetings and support project documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Multimedia Design or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in AV design, integration or installation, with project‑management exposure.
• Fluent English; French appreciated, German a plus.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and interpersonal abilities.
• CTS or PRINCE2 certification is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AV design software: AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Visio.
• Knowledge of control systems and audio/video transport protocols.
• Understanding of networking principles for AV‑over‑IP.
• Familiarity with virtual and augmented reality integration into AV designs.
