AV Designer – Audiovisual Systems Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an AV Designer to develop and implement innovative audiovisual solutions for a range of projects. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to create both standard and complex video, audio, and control systems that meet client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop audiovisual systems, including video, audio, and control architectures.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration.
• Select and specify AV equipment such as projectors, displays, sound systems, video‑conferencing and control platforms.
• Define AV infrastructure requirements (power, data, reinforced walls) for IT and main contractors.
• Review third‑party deliverables, conduct site surveys, and produce detailed reports.
• Participate in regular work‑stream meetings and project reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Multimedia Design or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in AV design, integration or installation, with project‑management exposure.
• Strong communication skills in English; French and German are a plus.
• Willingness to travel for site visits.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AV design software: AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Visio.
• Knowledge of control systems and audio/video transport protocols.
• Understanding of networking principles for AV‑over‑IP.
• Familiarity with CTS or PRINCE2 certification, VR/AR integration.
