AML Associate – Risk Assurance

About the role

PwC Luxembourg's Risk Assurance Compliance & Analytics team is looking for an AML Associate. You will work closely with colleagues across AML/CFT, internal audit and risk advisory, collaborating with financial services stakeholders to strengthen regulatory compliance and trust. As an Associate, you contribute to client engagements that strengthen AML/CFT frameworks and risk management practices.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to AML/CFT client assignments, supporting the review and design of AML/CFT programmes and their key components.
• Participate in AML risk assessments and risk appetite exercises, turning regulatory expectations into practical insights.
• Support reviews of customer due diligence files and the effectiveness of AML/CFT procedures in practice.
• Collaborate with industry participants such as management companies, transfer agents, custodians and domiciliary agents.
• Contribute to broader Risk Assurance assignments, including internal audit and internal controls projects, depending on engagement needs.

Required profile

• Master's degree or equivalent in Audit, Business, Economics, Financial Crime or a related field.
• Working knowledge of AML/CFT concepts and regulatory expectations.
• Fluent English and French and/or German.
• Ability to think critically, work collaboratively, seek learning opportunities and act with integrity and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel for analysis and documentation.
• Understanding of compliance frameworks, controls testing and fraud prevention.
