Advanced Practice Pediatric Nurse – Neonatal Care

About the role

The Landstuhl Regional Medical Center is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to provide direct care to newborns and their families in the NICU. This advanced practice role supports high‑risk deliveries and the Mother‑Baby/LDRP unit when a pediatrician is not on duty.

Key responsibilities

• Attend high‑risk deliveries and perform initial newborn history and physical examinations.
• Oversee care on the Mother‑Baby/LDRP unit in the absence of a pediatrician.
• Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease processes, and diagnostic tests.
• Coordinate and administer rapid‑acting, potent medications via intravenous and other routes.
• Schedule and coordinate procedures, tests, referrals, admissions, and appointments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship.
• Relevant nursing education and experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (Advanced Practice Nurse).
• Ability to meet the education and experience requirements outlined by the Department of Defense.
