Accountant – Real Estate Investor (Luxembourg)

About the role

We are seeking two experienced accountants to join a leading European real‑estate investment firm in Luxembourg. The role involves managing day‑to‑day financial accounting, supporting month‑end and year‑end close processes, and ensuring compliance with local and international reporting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform journal entries, ledger maintenance and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Review, verify and code invoices, matching them with purchase orders.
• Reconcile bank statements, balance‑sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly trial balances, variance analysis and ad‑hoc reports.
• Assist with year‑end closing, inter‑company reconciliation and preparation of annual accounts.
• Maintain amortisation/depreciation schedules and accruals.
• Support audit activities, VAT & CIT filings and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Supervise and train junior team members when required.

Required profile

• Degree or certification in financial accounting, familiar with LUX GAAP and IFRS.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Team player eager to leverage technology for efficiency.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of LUX GAAP accounting standards.
• Understanding of IFRS reporting principles.
