Senior/Principal Operational Assistant – Health Insurance and Administration

About the role

The European Investment Bank is looking for a Senior/Principal Operational Assistant to support the Health Administration & Insurances Unit at its Luxembourg headquarters. The role involves managing the Health Insurance Scheme (HIS) for EIB and EIF staff, handling related insurances, sick‑leave administration and procurement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the Health Insurance Scheme and related health programmes, including preventive medicine and medical controls.
• Process sick‑leave, occupational disability and work‑related injury cases.
• Manage procurement and policy administration of HIS contracts.
• Act as primary contact for internal clients on HIS‑related enquiries, applying staff rules and internal procedures.
• Validate and process medical claim reimbursements and issue guarantee letters for hospitalisation.
• Maintain accurate records, databases and documentation, and produce operational reports and the annual HIS report.
• Coordinate with the Third‑Party Administrator on contractual data, KPIs and communications.
