Remote Chemistry Expert (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified Chemistry Expert to work remotely on a contract basis. The role focuses on generating precise, well‑explained answers to advanced chemistry queries that will be used to improve an AI model.

Key responsibilities

• Produce authoritative, accurate responses to complex chemistry questions, emphasizing clarity and depth.
• Review and evaluate chemistry data, questions, and solutions to ensure scientific accuracy and alignment with best practices.
• Develop comprehensive explanations across foundational and specialized chemistry topics.
• Collaborate with annotation leads and project managers to refine requirements and maintain high response quality.
• Create “golden responses” that serve as benchmarks for future model outputs.
• Document the rationale behind answers to aid model interpretability.
• Participate in remote discussions or workshops to clarify objectives and maintain alignment.

Required profile

• PhD in Chemistry or a closely related scientific field.
• Proven ability to communicate intricate chemistry concepts precisely in writing.
• Experience developing, reviewing, or publishing scientific or educational chemistry materials.
• Familiarity with multiple chemistry sub‑disciplines (organic, inorganic, physical, analytical, materials science).
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to scientific rigor.
• Experience with AI, data annotation, or digital content projects is a plus.
